Hi.

I'm Paige! Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, along with simple tips to make the most of your own travels. Enjoy!

Sundance Film Festival

Sundance Film Festival

I’m back from my first official Sundance Film Festival! Going to Sundance was always something I’d dreamt of doing, but never thought would be possible! We had an absolute blast -

we ate lots of great food, saw some incredible films and saw lots of fun people there! 😊 Here is our Sundance weekend broken down into everything that we did and saw while we were there!

Accomodations:

- Luckily for me, my amazing boyfriend got us a house in Park City for the weekend! Going to Sundance is not cheap, especially on a teacher’s budget! πŸ™ˆ If you want to score any sort of a deal on accomodations, look very early in advance - I would suggest 4-6 months in advance. Look at both hotels and Airbnb’s but if you have a larger group, I would recommend looking at multi room houses near Main Street in Park City!

Food/Drink:

 - Blind Dog: This place was great - they had a huge selection of delicious Asian entrees and sushi, and a great ambience. It also helped because it was right next to Tao, so it made for the perfect late night dinner spot!

- ChefDance: This was by far my favorite part of our trip! During Sundance, ChefDance brings in a different Michelin star chef each night for a 4 course dinner with wine and beer pairings for each course. Our chef for the night was Beau MacMillan, who created an absolutely SPECTACULAR culinary experience for all of us! Tickets are expensive, but they are worth every penny!

Things to do/see:

- Tao: Each year, Tao brings a pop-up club to Sundance. On the first night, we went to see our friend DJ Vice perform and we had a great time!

- Main Street: Main Street in Park City is beautiful and lined with wonderful restaurants, boutiques and lounges/parties during Sundance. It’s a great place to walk around, people watch and get a feel for the festival!

- Egyptian Theater: Located on Main Street, the Egyptian Theater is where you can snap a photo of the famous Sundance Film Festival marquee! Be sure to check this out before you go.

- Movies: Go see a film! Although the festival is packed with tons of other fun activities, seeing a film is one of the best things you can do while you’re there! 😊 If you don’t buy tickets before hand, get to the theater early and ask people if they have any extra tickets! We saw three films, and were short between 1-3 tickets for our group each time. For each film, we arrived at the theaters early, asked people walking in if they had any extras, and we were easily able to get enough for all of us for each film!

This trip was one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had. For anyone considering attending Sundance, DO IT. You will not regret it! Trust me! 😊

Below are my photos from the trip! Enjoy!
