Las Vegas, Nevada
Back at it again! And with another Vegas trip already booked for January. π
This past weekend, I flew to Vegas for a quick trip to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and see our friend DJ Vice play at Marquee nightclub!
Day 1:
Being that we went right before Thanksgiving, Vegas was much more mellow than it tends to be during the high season. We landed at 4:30, took an uber to our hotel and unpacked for a bit before we left for dinner. We stayed at Aria on this trip, and I cannot say enough good things about our stay. Aria is a newer hotel, set in City Center on the Las Vegas strip. It's huge, modern and absolutely beautiful. Our room was on the 50th floor and overlooked all of Las Vegas. There were so many bars and restaurants, a beautiful pool area and lots of shops all around the hotel. We are hoping to stay there again when we return!
Once we got settled into our room, we left for an incredible dinner at one of our favorite restaurants - Bouchon. We ate everything from seafood, to escargot, to chicken and duck, and each one was spectacular. We finished off the night at Hakkasan, and then headed back to our room for some sleep at 5am. π
Day 2:
After only getting about 5 hours of sleep, we woke up to go explore the Strip. We took an uber to the New York New York where we ate at Shake Shack for lunch. π We each got a burger, cheese fries and a chocolate peppermint milkshake to split. From there, we walked to the Cosmopolitan and had a second lunch at the secret pizza shop on the 3rd floor. It. Was. Incredible. There are no signs and it has no name, so ask a Cosmopolitan employee to direct you to it if you are looking!
After this, we made our way back to our room to take a quick nap before another night out. For dinner, we walked back to the Cosmopolitan to eat at another favorite of ours - Blue Ribbon Sushi. Although we were informed that they will be closing in January, world famous restaurant Zuma will be opening up in its place! Hopefully it will be open in January when I go back! I can't wait to try it out. After Blue Ribbon, we left to meet up with our friend DJ Vice who was playing at Marquee nightclub that night. We stayed until close, got another slice of the secret Cosmo pizza and then headed back to our room for the night.
Day 3:
Our last day! Today we packed our things, checked our bags at the hotel and went back to Bouchon for breakfast. Pounds and pounds of pastries, fruit, and benedicts later, we were finally full and ready to head back to Colorado. π After a quick dip in the Aria hot tub, and another lunch at Shake Shack, we grabbed our bags and left for the airport!
It was a very quick trip, but we had a blast. π Another successful Vegas trip full of great memories!
